As a member of the Rogue Valley Executive
Association, the "IN Club" of
Southern Oregon, you have an opportunity to learn about
leading companies and the men and women behind
them. You gain a continuing acquaintance with
these top executives, their company products and
services. Members discuss business affairs
formally and informally throughout the year at regular
weekly morning meetings and various social non-mandatory
functions. As you widen your circle of
acquaintances with these key executives, there are many
opportunities to explain your firm's operation to
them. You, in turn, can learn new techniques of
management, production, distribution and sales.
Your membership in the
RVEA has further value in that you may gain an advantage
over your competition. Pertinent business
information often is made known to you by your fellow
members before it is published or becomes general
industry wide knowledge. In addition, your sales
opportunities will expand. Members become part of
a close-knit organization which has, as its main
purpose, the helping of fellow members to increase their
business volumes. Referrals, contacts and leads
are exchanged, as is mutual business from members, their
families, friends and business associates. |

With only one member from
each business category, the Rogue Valley Executive
Association meets weekly at 7:00 A.M. for a breakfast
meeting before the business day begins. During
these meetings, there is an exchange of leads, contacts
and mutual business. It is assumed, for example,
that if a manufacturing member is in need of commercial
banking services, he will initially contact the
association member representing a commercial bank to
provide that service. Members are obliged (not
obligated) to do business with their fellow members
whenever possible.
Programs consist of
presentations by member firms speaking about the
products and/or services of their business and how
members can be helpful to them. Very few guest
speakers or special programs are scheduled. The
association is governed by a member-elected board of
directors which plans and administers all
activities. The association maintains a
coordinator who is available to assist members when
needed. |
