Membership is open to
almost every type of business including manufacturers,
wholesalers, distributors, financial institutions,
retailers, service contractors, transportation,
communications, law, accounting, insurance and many
more. Classifications are rigidly defined and
maintained so that each member firm has an exclusive
field of representation. If a specialist in
business law wished to join, for example, and the
association already has a member in that category, the
prospective member will not be accepted unless and until
the present member approves of the new membership or
resigns. It is important that the executive who
holds membership be a key man or woman in his or her
firm. To attain membership, a firm must be
sponsored by a current member firm and then be approved
by the board of directors and the general membership. |

In addition to being a
qualified executive and professional in his or her
firm, a member has several responsibilities to
fellow members. His or her active participation
and attendance is involved in two ways:
-
Discover and pursue
every practical means that the company being
represented can assist other members and their
employees, family, agents, clients or referrals and,
-
Determine the needs of
the RVEA and actively participate as a member.
RVEA members are expected
to maintain high business, moral and ethical standards
with an emphasis on a positive attitude with integrity.
